Our Wedding

We met in the fall of 2016 at Northeastern, when Jake was a sophomore and Nikki was a freshman. Our love story began like any classic love story: Nikki and her friends were invited to a Halloween party by a group of guys at Northeastern. Jake, as it turns out, was one of those guys and was sporting a frog costume that night while Nikki was dressed as a hula girl. There was just one minor issue that night: it was, in fact, not a costume party.From there, a Facebook friendship was born. Several months later, Jake sent Nikki an infamous Facebook DM after she failed to respond to his message on a dating app. Clearly, persistence paid off.Since the day we met, we’ve spent a lot of time laughing together—and somehow, almost ten years later, that hasn’t changed. We’ve grown up together, explored Boston together, and built a life filled with Red Sox games (sorry to my NJ family), Patriots Sundays, trying new bars, and plenty of espresso martinis and strawberry margaritas. In 2022, we added our favorite furry companion, Theo, to the mix.After nearly ten years together, Jake asked Nikki to marry him in April 2026. Now, we’re so excited to celebrate with all of our favorite people as we tie the knot in 2027—our ten-year anniversary! We can’t wait to see what the next ten years bring.
